Sherbeth Festival to host 60 global gelato masters in Palermo

The 18th edition of the Sherbeth Festival is scheduled to take place in Palermo from November 13 to 16, 2026. The event will bring together 60 master gelato makers from five continents, alongside chefs, researchers, and industry professionals.

This edition introduces a focus on ‘Contemporary Artisanal Gelato,’ aiming to integrate technical expertise with scientific research and sustainable production. To strengthen this connection, the festival has established collaborations with the CNR-IBE (Institute for Bioeconomy of the National Research Council) and Massey University in New Zealand.

The festival serves to promote artisanal gelato as an Italian cultural heritage while positioning Palermo as a culinary tourism destination through activities involving tastings, high cuisine, and mixology.
