Sheree Martin appointed CEO of National Commercial Bank Jamaica

Sheree Martin has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of National Commercial Bank Jamaica (NCB), effective September 1, 2026. Martin is the first woman to lead the country’s largest bank, having served as interim CEO since January 19 following the departure of Bruce Bowen.

Her appointment coincides with leadership transitions within the broader NCB Financial Group. Robert Almeida will complete his term as Group CEO on September 30. He will be succeeded by Julian Mair, who is scheduled to take office on November 17. To bridge the seven-week gap between these terms, Dave Garcia will serve as acting Group CEO starting October 1.

Martin brings over 20 years of executive experience in the financial services and energy sectors. Previously, she held roles including Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, with responsibilities spanning retail banking, operations, and marketing.
