Sheremetyevo Airport security breach after passengers enter tarmac

Two passengers caused a security breach at Moscow's Sheremetyevo International Airport on July 25 after missing their Aeroflot flight. The women managed to bypass security checkpoints and entered the restricted tarmac area in an attempt to signal the aircraft to stop so they could board.

The incident forced a temporary halt to flight operations in the area to ensure safety. Airport authorities reported that the women were intercepted by security personnel and subsequently handed over to the Federal Security Service (FSB).

While the airport stated that the action did not jeopardize the safety of other passengers, officials emphasized that unauthorized entry into restricted zones is a serious violation of aviation safety regulations that carries legal consequences.
