Sheriff Country Season 2 details reveal family drama and new characters

The second season of the Fire Country spinoff, Sheriff Country, is set to premiere on Friday, October 9, with an episode titled ‘Cyclone’. Showrunner Matt Lopez indicated that the new season will focus on the emotional and professional aftershocks of the previous season's events.

Central to the upcoming plot is Mickey Fox dealing with the revelation that Eva Santos is actually her mother, who was believed to have been dead for over 30 years. Eva, serving as a DEA Deputy Director, is forcing Mickey to work alongside her estranged father, Wes Fox, following a deal to release him from prison.

Additional storylines include Skye Fraley taking control of the family business following the arrest of Miranda Fraley, and the arrival of Sheriff Jim Wade, played by Ben McKenzie. The season will also address rising tensions involving a dangerous criminal organization and cartel operations in Edgewater.
