Sheriff Tiraspol defeats Zimbru Chișinău 4-2 in Moldova's top derby

Sheriff Tiraspol beat rival Zimbru Chișinău 4-2 in the third round of the Moldovan Liga 7777 on 12 July at the Arena Mare in Tiraspol. Sheriff opened the scoring within 15 minutes through Jayder Asprilla, doubled the lead with Vitor Oliveira, and later added goals from Samba Kone and a second strike by Asprilla, who completed a brace. Zimbru reduced the deficit twice, first via Matteo Amoroso before halftime and later through Nikolai Zolotov in extra time.

On the same matchday, Dacia‑Buiucani produced an upset by beating Milsami Orhei 1‑0, the winning goal scored by Valeriu Gurgurov. Other results included Petrocub Hîncești’s 1‑1 draw with CSF Bălți and Politehnica UTM’s 2‑1 victory over Real Sireţi.
