Sherman Güity wins silver in T64 100m at ISTAF Berlin
Costa Rican para-athlete Sherman Güity secured the silver medal in the T64 100-meter sprint at the ISTAF Berlin 2026 competition. Competing at the Olympic Stadium, Güity recorded a time of 10.82 seconds.
The victory marks his third consecutive podium finish at this event, having won gold in 2023 and silver in 2025. Notably, Güity clocked the exact same time of 10.82 seconds in all three of his appearances at the tournament. The gold medal was awarded to German athlete Félix Streng, who finished with a time of 10.65 seconds.
This performance follows Güity’s recent achievement in Tlaxcala, Mexico, where he equaled the T64 world record with a time of 10.61 seconds. He is now preparing for the Para Athletics Grand Prix in Cali, Colombia, scheduled for September 14–20, 2026.
