Sheza Alibi leads 112 nominations for 2026 Golden Eagle

The Australian Turf Club has released the nominations for the 2026 Golden Eagle, a $10 million race for four-year-olds. A total of 112 early entries have been received for the event, which will be held at Randwick Racecourse.

Sheza Alibi, a mare trained by Peter Moody and Katherine Coleman, has emerged as the early favorite for the race. The mare previously secured a Group 1 double at Randwick by winning the Randwick Guineas and the Doncaster Mile. Other notable nominees include Beiwacht, trained by two-time winner Chris Waller, and the New Zealand mare Well Written.
