Shiba Inu Falls to 31st Spot as Market Capitalization Slides Over 11%

Shiba Inu (SHIB) slipped to the 31st position in global cryptocurrency market‑cap rankings, ending a month‑long stay in the top‑30. CoinMarketCap reports a market value of about $2.44 billion after an 11.2 % price drop in the past week, allowing asset‑backed Tether Gold (XAUT) to overtake it.

The decline follows a surge of SHIB tokens transferred to centralized exchanges and a bearish technical pattern, with the coin trading below its 50‑, 100‑ and 200‑day moving averages. On‑chain activity shows limited burning of the 589 trillion‑token supply, and ecosystem projects such as Shibarium and the Shib Marketplace have seen reduced activity. Analysts note that falling out of the top‑30 could diminish visibility among institutional investors and index providers.

The broader meme‑coin market remains weak, with Dogecoin showing over‑sell signals but still below key resistance levels, while Bitcoin continues to defend the $60,000 range despite being under its major moving averages.
