Shiba Inu sees surge in token burns and investor growth

Shiba Inu (SHIB) has demonstrated recent growth in both market activity and its investor base. The token's burn rate reportedly surged by more than 585% in a single day, with approximately 15 million tokens removed from circulation. While this represents a small fraction of the 585 trillion SHIB currently in circulation, the spike has drawn significant attention from market participants.

Alongside increased burn activity, the ecosystem has seen a steady rise in holders. Data from Etherscan indicates that Shiba Inu added 8,927 new holders throughout September, including 1,235 new wallets in a single 24-hour period. As of September 27, the total number of holders reached 1,693,365, approaching the 1.7 million milestone. This growth in the user base has occurred even as the token experienced periods of price volatility and recovery.
