Shibani Dandekar celebrates birthday following career in US TV and Bollywood

Shibani Dandekar, an Indian model, television host, and actress, is celebrating her birthday. Born in Pune on August 27, 1980, she grew up in diverse environments including Australia and Africa due to her parents' professional roles.

Dandekar began her career in New York in 2001, hosting American television programs such as ‘Namaste America’, ‘We Desi’, and ‘Asian Variety’. During her time in the United States, she also hosted a program in Atlantic City featuring superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

After returning to India, she transitioned into acting, making her debut in the 2014 Marathi film ‘Timepass’ and later entering Bollywood with the 2015 film ‘Roy’. She is also known for her marriage to actor and filmmaker Farhan Akhtar.
