Shibarium restructuring progresses amid developer silence

Technical developments continue within the Shiba Inu ecosystem despite a lack of recent communication from lead developer Shytoshi Kusama. Kusama has not had a recorded interaction on the X platform since May 13, 2026. His recent profile updates in September 2026, which included changing his biography to “Polish” and his location to “Close,” have fueled community speculation regarding the potential completion of a project, though it remains unconfirmed if this relates to Shiba Inu or an independent venture.

On the technical front, Shibarium is currently in a rebuilding mode. Developer Kaal Dhairya indicated that the Shibarium restructuring issue has been resolved, with the remaining task being the completion of the DRPC transition within the new environment. Despite the slow pace of development, several new features and improvements have been implemented on the Layer 2 network in recent weeks.
