Shibuya to host ‘&count’ technology experience showroom
Fastlane Japan is set to open ‘&count’, a specialized offline showroom for cutting-edge technology products, in Shibuya, Tokyo, on August 20. The facility serves as a space where users can physically interact with a wide range of gadgets, including AI devices, wearables, smartphones, and smart home appliances.
Managed by curator Asuka Yazaki, a former editor-in-chief of Engadget Japan, the space aims to introduce global technology brands that have not yet entered the Japanese market. Participating manufacturers include Nothing, REDMAGIC, and Xreal. The showroom will feature approximately 100 products from about 40 companies, including pre-release prototypes.
Beyond a simple showroom, ‘&count’ is designed to function as a community and co-working hub for creators, influencers, and media professionals. The facility provides free Wi-Fi, power outlets, and even 3D printers for testing keycaps or cases. Access is free of charge but requires a prior reservation through a dedicated website. Users can also opt for guided sessions with specialized staff.
