SHIFT AI introduces family AI guidelines and new expert talk program
SHIFT AI, a generative AI learning community, has released the ‘10 Rules for Family AI’ to help parents and children navigate the use of artificial intelligence safely and proactively. The initiative follows a survey of 722 parents of elementary school students, which revealed that 41.1% had never discussed AI use with their children and only 10.1% had established clear household rules. The guidelines aim to position AI as a ‘learning companion’ that fosters critical thinking rather than a tool used solely for obtaining answers.
Additionally, SHIFT AI is launching a new talk program titled ‘AI INSIDE OUT,’ hosted by Ruriko Kojima. The program, scheduled to begin streaming on August 17, 2026, focuses on the real-world experiences and transformations of AI industry leaders. The inaugural episode will feature Yutaka Matsuo, a professor at the University of Tokyo and chair of the AI Strategy Expert Council, to discuss the future of AI in Japan, the threats of AGI/ASI, and the evolving role of humans in an AI-driven era.
