The 108th National High School Baseball Championship saw multiple regional rounds across Japan. In North Hokkaido, four schools – Obihiro Sanjo (first‑time semifinalist since 2013), Shirakaba Gakuen, Asahikawa Ryukoku and Clark Memorial International – secured the best‑four spots for the upcoming semifinals.

In Shiga, the Ika‑Ayaba matchup was highlighted on July 12, while Ehime’s second‑seed Matsuyama Seiryo was eliminated by the historic Matsuyama Shogyo after a ten‑inning tie‑break. Ishikawa’s second‑round produced a series of decisive victories, including a 10‑0 win for Nitta over Minami‑Uwa and a 7‑0 shutout by Kanazawa Academy.

Shizuoka’s tournament concluded its second round with the best‑32 set, featuring seeded teams such as Shizuoka, Nihon University Mishima and Tokuhara Daikiku, while Shizuoka Commercial fell to Shizuoka Gakuen. Kyoto’s second‑round saw Kyoto Kyoiku Daibu face Miyazu Tenbashi, and Tochigi’s round advanced Sakushin, Ishibashi and other schools to the third round.

Across the country, more than a dozen schools progressed, setting the stage for the upcoming Koshien qualifiers.
