Shikoku Aquarium hosts Nightscape 2026 night event until Aug. 30

The Shikoku Aquarium in Utazu, Kagawa Prefecture, is running the seasonal Nightscape 2026 night‑time exhibition from July 18 to August 30, 2026. Opening hours have been extended, with the aquarium staying open until 19:30 (or 21:00 on select days) and the lighting in all tanks shifting to deep blue after 18:30 to create a “night‑scape” atmosphere.

A highlight is the Dolphin Sunset Program, where dolphins perform against the backdrop of the Seto Inland Sea’s evening sky. The outdoor art area “UMI to SORA” is also illuminated, offering a different visual experience from daytime visits. In addition, the café on the first floor sells a limited‑time Setouchi lemon soft‑serve ice cream for ¥680.

The event is marketed as a family‑friendly summer attraction, encouraging visitors to enjoy the aquarium’s marine life and art installations under the night sky.
