Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival moves to new venue for 2026

The 2026 Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival is scheduled for November 20–21 and will move to a new permanent location at the New Shillong Highland Grounds. The state government has designated this site as a dedicated venue for large-scale festivals and mega events.

Organizers have announced the first wave of international headliners, which includes American R&B artist Khalid, multi-platinum hip-hop star Swae Lee, and the pop-punk band Boys Like Girls. Two additional international headliners are expected to be revealed soon, bringing the total to five.

The move to the new venue required a reset of production and logistics timelines. The New Shillong Highland Grounds is designed for large crowds, featuring dedicated parking and a mobility plan to accommodate fans from Assam and other Northeastern states. Tickets will be available starting September 4 at 6 PM via RockskiTickets.com, with prices starting at Rs 2,500.
