Shimamura Group to open flagship store in Kyoto

Shimamura Group has acquired land in the Shijo Kawaramachi district of Kyoto to develop a new flagship commercial building. The project involves the construction of a seven-story facility scheduled to open in 2029.

Located in a major global tourist destination, the new location aims to increase brand recognition among both domestic and international visitors. The company intends to use this expansion to facilitate future overseas growth and acquire new customer segments. While the main facility is slated for 2029, Shimamura Group plans to launch a limited-time pop-up store within the current fiscal year.
