Shimane pear farmers to ship Hanshin Tigers victory pears

Following the Hanshin Tigers' 2026 Central League victory, Machigainasi Japan will begin shipping special edition pears from Yasugi, Shimane Prefecture, on October 13.

The “Hanshin Tigers Victory Machigainasi” and the newly introduced “Hanshin Tigers Japan Series Champion Machigainasi” are part of a tradition that began in 2005. To show support for the team, farmers play the team anthem, “Rokko Oroshi,” in the pear orchards during the growing season.

Limited quantities are available, with 100 cases of each variety. The “Koshien Stadium Case” containing three pears is priced at 5,500 yen, while a two-pear case is 3,300 yen. The products use Shinko variety pears and are sold under official license from the Hanshin Tigers and Koshien Stadium.
