Shimane Prefecture to host migration fair in Osaka

The Shimane Migration Fair & Lifestyle Marche in Osaka is scheduled to take place on November 14, 2026, at Grand Front Osaka. Organized by the Furusato Shimane Settlement Foundation, the event aims to promote U-turn and I-turn migration to Shimane Prefecture by providing information to residents of the Kansai region.

The event will feature consultation booths staffed by representatives from all 19 municipalities in Shimane and various related organizations. Attendees can receive individual advice regarding relocation. The venue will also host activities to showcase Shimane's lifestyle, including gourmet food sales, local specialty products, and experiential booths.

Entertainment will include performances of Iwami Kagura and appearances by local mascots such as Shimane-ko and Iyashimane-chan. Promotional activities include giveaways of Shimane rice for the first 1,000 visitors and a lottery offering round-trip airfare between Shimane and Osaka, as well as local specialties.
