Shimano launches Dura-Ace WH‑R9370 wheelset with major weight cuts
Shimano has officially unveiled its new Dura‑Ace WH‑R9370 wheel series, developed with the Alpecin‑Premier Tech and Fenix‑Premier Tech professional teams. The range comprises three road wheelsets – C36, C50 and C60 – and a time‑trial/Triathlon configuration (C99 front wheel and a disc‑compatible rear wheel).
The wheels are up to 220 g lighter per set than the previous WH‑R9270 generation, achieved through a completely redesigned rim construction, carbon‑fiber spokes and updated hub bearings with replaceable shells and improved sealing. Internal rim width has been widened from 21 mm to 23 mm to accommodate 28‑30 mm tires, while outer widths have been adjusted for optimal aerodynamics.
Shimano lists a €2,799 price for the road wheelsets and plans to begin regional sales in September 2026. The new series also retains the Dura‑Ace “Science of Speed” philosophy, targeting gains in weight, aerodynamics, stiffness and maintenance ease.
