Shimano releases Monica 100F Jet Boost seabass lure

Shimano has released the Monica 100F Jet Boost, a downsized 100mm shallow runner lure specifically designed for seabass fishing. This new model is optimized for situations involving smaller baitfish, such as in small rivers or during the early summer to early autumn seasons.

The lure features Shimano’s Jet Boost technology, a center-of-gravity shifting mechanism using a through-shaft and spring. This allows the 11g floating model to achieve an average casting distance of 49 meters while ensuring the main weight returns to its original position immediately upon water contact for rapid action response.

Designed to hunt in extremely shallow depths of 0 to 10cm, the lure utilizes a specialized face design to detect subtle changes in water currents. It produces a tight, roll-based action that remains effective even during slow retrieves or drifting techniques. The product is available in 10 color variations and includes Scale Boost hologram technology to mimic real baitfish scales.
