Shin-Ei Animation announces new anime projects for 50th anniversary

Shin-Ei Animation has announced two major upcoming projects to commemorate the studio's 50th anniversary. During the ABEMA Anime Festival 2026, the company revealed the production of a new TV anime series titled ‘Shin Oishinbo’ and the development of new episodes for ‘Atashinchi NEXT’.

‘Shin Oishinbo’ is a revival of the gourmet manga series by Tetsu Kariya and Akira Hanasaki. The new animation will revisit the culinary rivalry between Shiro Yamaoka and Yuzan Kaibara. To prepare for the launch, a special compilation video of classic episodes is scheduled to premiere on the official YouTube channel on September 25.

‘Atashinchi NEXT’, a series based on the manga by Keiko Kera, will continue with new episodes under the direction of Taku Kimura. The series follows the daily lives of the Tachibana family and marks a continuation of the project that began in 2024.
