Shin Ji-eun clinches Scottish Open title, first LPGA win in a decade
South Korean golfer Shin Ji-eun captured the ISPS Handa Scottish Open at Dundonald Links in North Ayrshire, Scotland. She posted a final round of 75 (+3) with two birdies and five bogeys, finishing at 9 under par 279 to win by two strokes over fellow Korean Kim Ah‑rim. The victory marks her second LPGA Tour title and her first win since 2016, ending a 10‑year, 2‑month gap – the longest interval between LPGA victories in 30 years, a record previously set by Beki Pugh in 1996. Shin led the tournament wire‑to‑wire, holding the solo lead after three rounds despite a brief spell of three consecutive bogeys. The winner's share of the $2 million purse was $300,000. Her triumph adds to a recent surge of Korean success on the LPGA, following wins by Kim Hyun‑ju, Lee Mi‑hyang and others this season.
