Shin & Kim launches AIDC Infrastructure Center for AI and semiconductor projects

Shin & Kim (Sejong) has launched the ‘AIDC Infrastructure Center’ to provide integrated legal services for large-scale projects in strategic industries, including AI, semiconductors, and data centers. The move comes ahead of the implementation of a special law for AI Data Centers (AIDC) scheduled for next March.

The center will deploy approximately 100 experts across various fields such as real estate, energy, AI governance, intellectual property, and M&A. The legal support aims to cover the entire lifecycle of a project, from site selection and securing large-scale power supplies to navigating AI regulations, technology protection, and complex financial structuring including project financing and GPU financing.

The center will be co-led by attorney Jang Kyung-soo, who has experience in data center development, and advisor Yoo Jung-yeol, a former official from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and former president of KOTRA.
