Shin Yu-bin and Yohemite donate 50 million won for Nepal flood relief

Table tennis player Shin Yu-bin and sports nutrition brand Yohemite have donated 50 million won to UNICEF Korea to support children affected by recent flooding in Nepal.

The donation was initiated by Shin Yu-bin, who offered a portion of her advertising fees from her work with Yohemite, with the brand subsequently joining the contribution. The funds will be directed through the UNICEF Nepal office to provide emergency relief, including clean water, hygiene supplies, nutritional support, and psychosocial assistance for affected children and their families.

Following sudden floods in Nepal on August 26, approximately 84,000 people across 17 municipalities were impacted. Among those affected, an estimated 32,000 are children. The disaster also caused significant damage to infrastructure, destroying 50 water supply facilities and 20 schools.
