Shineray declines national recall for SBM 250T motorcycle defects

Shineray has declined to issue a national recall or take an official stance regarding reported defects in the SBM 250T motorcycle model. Owners have reported issues including poor performance, high fuel consumption, excessive heating, and vibration.

While Shineray's engineering department has reportedly acknowledged occurrences in certain units, the manufacturer stated it will not position itself on the matter, characterizing recent corrective actions as isolated. A dealership in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, has independently offered free exhaust replacements to mitigate lateral engine heat and noise using parts developed with MTG. However, the manufacturer maintains this is a unique initiative by the local reseller and not a national policy.

Because the defect has not been legally classified as an immediate risk to safety or health, a mandatory national recall is not required. Consequently, owners in other regions of Brazil currently lack direct manufacturer support for these issues.
