Shingo Katori to star in ‘Kosei Kazoku’ live-action film

New production stills have been released for the upcoming live-action film ‘Kosei Kazoku’ (High School Family), starring Shingo Katori. Based on the Shonen Jump manga by Ryo Nakama, the story follows a family where every member becomes a high school student.

The released images depict various characters engaging in typical high school activities. Katori plays Ichiro, a father who joins the boys' volleyball club, while Rie Isa portrays the mother, Shizuka, acting as a manager for the baseball club. Other family members, including son Kotaro (played by Jun Saito) and daughter Haruka (played by Yuno Nagao), are also shown navigating school life, friendships, and romance.

The film is scheduled for a nationwide theatrical release in Japan on January 8, 2027.
