Shingo Village: Man unconscious after tree falls during logging

In Shingo Village, Aomori Prefecture, a man in his 60s was reported unconscious after being pinned under a tree during logging operations on the morning of October 8. The incident occurred approximately 2 kilometers west of the Matakido Dam while the man was working in a group of three.

Separately, in Ichihara, Chiba Prefecture, a body was discovered in a wooded area. While this is a distinct incident, police are investigating the connection between the remains and a man in his 40s from Tokyo who has been missing since January 2024. The search was prompted by information from a 30-year-old man previously indicted in an unrelated case.
