Shinhan Bank launches high-interest savings and mid-interest loan products

Shinhan Bank has introduced two new financial products aimed at supporting asset formation and improving financial accessibility for specific customer segments.

The bank launched ‘Shinhan Savings 9-dan’, a one-year flexible installment savings product offering a maximum annual interest rate of 9.0%. This high rate is designed for young adults and first-time savers, with preferential rates available for customers who have not held Shinhan Bank deposit or housing subscription products in the previous six months and those who meet Shinhan Card transaction requirements. The product is limited to 200,000 accounts.

Additionally, the bank is launching the ‘Super SOL Mid-Interest Loan’ to assist mid-to-low credit customers, including ‘thin filers’ who may lack traditional financial history. Utilizing a proprietary alternative credit scoring model, the loan offers limits up to 20 million won with fixed annual interest rates between 5.5% and 6.9%. The application and execution process are handled non-face-to-face via the ‘Shinhan Super SOL’ application.
