Shinichiro Azumi takes first five-day work break in 15 years

TBS announcer Shinichiro Azumi shared details of his recent summer vacation during a live broadcast of his radio program, ‘Shinichiro Azumi’s Sunday Heaven,’ on August 13. Azumi reported that he took a five-day break from August 7 to August 11, marking the first time in approximately 15 years that he has completely stepped away from his professional duties for such a duration.

During his time off, Azumi returned to his hometown in Hokkaido to visit his aging parents. He noted the unexpected weather patterns, observing that Tokyo felt cooler than Hokkaido. Azumi humorously admitted to feeling disoriented upon his return, stating, “I’ve completely forgotten how I used to work,” and joked that the break left him feeling uncertain even about his daily attire and professional routine.
