Shinji Ono hosts soccer clinic for children in Akita City

Former Japan national team player Shinji Ono hosted a soccer clinic for approximately 130 elementary school students in Akita City on September 23. The event was part of the ‘J.League x Shinji Ono Smile Football Tour,’ a promotional initiative sponsored by Meiji Yasuda to spread the popularity of soccer.

During the session held at Soy Stadium, Ono demonstrated advanced technical skills, including dribbling and lifting, and provided instruction on fundamental techniques. He encouraged the young participants to embrace the joy of the sport and emphasized the importance of personal initiative and the willingness to learn through trial and error.

This visit marks the 42nd stop in the tour, which aims to visit regions represented by 60 J.League clubs by next year.
