Shinsuke Nakamura teases mystery partner to challenge new WWE Tag Team Champions
Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga, collectively known as MFT, have captured the WWE Tag Team Championships on SmackDown. They secured the titles in a triple threat match, defeating Damian Priest, R-Truth, and The War Raiders.
Following the title change, Shinsuke Nakamura released a digital exclusive promo targeting the new champions. Nakamura warned the Tongas that his reign of dominance would be short-lived, announcing that he has secured a new ally to assist in his pursuit of destruction.
Nakamura described his mystery partner as “experienced, vicious, deadly,” “chaos,” and a “ticking time bomb.” These specific descriptors, along with visual clues such as a silhouette and a colorful jacket, have led widespread speculation that the partner is former New Japan Pro-Wrestling star Hiromu Takahashi, who is famously known by the nickname “Ticking Time Bomb.” While WWE has not officially confirmed the identity, the timing aligns with Takahashi's departure from NJPW earlier this year.
