Shinya Hasegawa shines in comeback game for Seibu Lions

Shinya Hasegawa made a successful return to the Seibu Lions lineup, recording three hits and two RBIs in his first game back against the Rakuten Eagles at Belluna Dome. Hasegawa had been sidelined since July 1 following surgery for a fractured hamate bone, a condition that severely impacted his grip strength.

In the 8-4 victory for Seibu, Hasegawa batted third and provided a crucial two-run hit in the seventh inning to secure the lead. He was joined by teammate Anka Hayashi, who contributed five RBIs, including a three-run home run. The win marks the end of a three-week period without a losing streak for the team.

Manager Fumiya Nishiguchi expressed optimism regarding the team's momentum as key players return from injury, stating he hopes those returning can perform strongly to support the team's late-season push.
