Shiori Kubo debuts on NHK’s ‘LIFE! Summer’ comedy special airing Aug 11

NHK’s comedy program “LIFE! Summer” will be broadcast on August 11 at 22:15 (Japan time) in an expanded 59‑minute edition. The show marks the first appearance of actress Shiori Kubo, who joins the regular cast that includes veteran comedian Uchimura Mitsuyoshi (playing the “LIFE! Supervisor” Mitsuya Kanji) and newcomers such as AKB48’s Ito Momoka, DXTEEN’s Daigo Ohkubo, and actress Rei Mukai.

During the episode, Kubo receives a humorous “damaged‑out” critique from Mitsuya Kanji about her performance in the May “LIFE! ON STAGE” live event, which attracted 18,000 spectators. The program also features a school‑yard sketch titled “Now‑Yank Teacher Ōtsuka,” where the same young performers appear as students confronting a rogue teacher. A rebroadcast of “LIFE! Spring” is scheduled for August 10.
