Shipt names Raj Kapoor as next CEO

Shipt has announced that Raj Kapoor will return to the company as its next Chief Executive Officer, effective October 18, 2026. Kapoor previously served as Shipt’s Chief Operating Officer from 2022 to 2025 before departing to serve as a senior vice president for Target Plus at its parent company, Target.

Kapoor succeeds Kamau Witherspoon, who is stepping down after leading the e-commerce operator for more than four years. Witherspoon will remain with the company through late October to assist with the leadership transition. During his tenure, Witherspoon integrated the Shipt marketplace into the Target Circle 360 loyalty program.
