Shirakawa-OkuAizu Tourism Council launches pop-up guidebook

The Shirakawa-OkuAizu Wide-Area Tourism Council has created ‘Tabiehon’, a pop-up tourism guidebook designed to enhance travel experiences across 12 municipalities in the Shirakawa-OkuAizu area of Fukushima Prefecture.

The guidebook encourages travelers to visit various local spots to collect parts, allowing them to complete a unique, personalized version of the book. The council will distribute the guide for free to the first 2,500 applicants who meet specific criteria, including households with elementary school-aged children.

To celebrate the release, a pop-up exhibition by pop-up book author Narumi Kaminari will be held at the Shirakawa Tourism Station from August 19 to September 30, 2026.
