Shiren the Wanderer 6 hits record Steam player concurrency

Shiren the Wanderer 6 has reached a new record for concurrent players on Steam, hitting 1,552 users on September 21. This surge follows a 50% discount sale and the recent surprise release of the Torneko no Daiboken Remaster.

The Torneko remaster, originally a 1993 hit, recently launched across multiple platforms including Nintendo Switch, PS5, and PC. While the remaster has faced some mixed reviews regarding control sensitivity and gameplay changes, it has driven renewed interest in the series' roguelike genre, benefiting Shiren the Wanderer 6.
