Shirin van Anrooij signs multi-year deal with Canyon//SRAM

Dutch cyclist Shirin van Anrooij has signed a multi-year contract with Canyon//SRAM, marking a significant change after nearly seven seasons with Lidl-Trek. The agreement is set to begin on November 1, 2026, and will run through the end of 2029.

Van Anrooij will complete her upcoming road season with Lidl-Trek before transitioning to the German-based team. Canyon//SRAM intends to utilize her versatility across both road racing and cyclocross, with plans for her to act as a leader in the Classics during the 2027 season. She will join teammate Zoe Backstedt, who also competes in both disciplines.

Van Anrooij, a former U23 cyclocross world champion and successful road racer, expressed enthusiasm for the move, citing a desire for new challenges and professional development in a fresh environment.
