Shiruq by Mappamondo adds group tours in Togo and Benin for 2027 season

Italian travel operator Shiruq by Mappamondo is shaping its 2026‑2027 programme around Asia and Africa, responding to a growing demand for culturally immersive itineraries. For 2027 the company will launch a new guided group tour in West Africa titled “Terre di spiriti e antichi reami”, departing on 21 February and visiting Togo and Benin. The tour highlights UNESCO heritage sites, ancestral cultures, Vodou rites, traditional masks and locations linked to the trans‑Atlantic slave trade, offering longer stays and direct community interaction, according to product manager Elisa Capuano.

The schedule also retains other slow‑travel offerings: a classic Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh circuit in India with a visit to Ranthambore National Park, a “Note di frangipani lungo il Mekong” tour in Laos, and a 14‑day Vietnam itinerary covering the Mekong Delta, Hue, Hoi An, Ninh Binh and Halong Bay.
