Shisui New Sake Festival 2026 to be held in Chiba

The Shisui New Sake Festival 2026 is scheduled for December 5 at Iinuma Honke in Inba District, Chiba Prefecture. The event, themed ‘celebrating, praying, and tasting the harvest,’ will feature a collaborative showcase of new sake and wine from local producers.

Participating entities include Iinuma Honke, known for ‘Koshi’, Nabeten, known for ‘Jinyu’, and SAWA WINES. The festival will include a tasting area, local food vendors, and live performances featuring Japanese drums, Tsugaru shamisen, and a local junior high school brass band. Visitors can also participate in moromi (fermentation mash) viewing tours.

To facilitate access, special temporary stops for the Limited Express ‘Shiosai’ will be made at Minami-Shisui Station on the day of the event. Tickets are available via JRE MALL, with advance purchase options providing discounts and sake cups.
