Sanjay Raut claims Rs 2000 cr from Ram Mandir trust siphoned to split Shiv Sena and TMC
Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut alleged that approximately ₹2,000 crore was stolen from the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra (Ram Mandir) trust and used to purchase legislators and engineer splits within his own party and the Trinamool Congress (TMC). Raut made the statements while commenting on a First Information Report filed against eight individuals in an alleged embezzlement case concerning donations to the Ayodhya temple. He said, “The main culprits are still working in the Trust… they use the money to buy MPs and split political parties.” The allegation follows recent investigations, including a Special Investigation Team set up by the Uttar Pradesh government and a petition for a court‑monitored probe.
Raut’s claim adds a new dimension to ongoing disputes over the management of Ram Mandir donations, linking the alleged financial loss to recent political realignments in Maharashtra and West Bengal.
