Shiv Sena symbol dispute: Minister Desai slams demand to freeze bow and arrow

Maharashtra Minister Shambhuraj Desai has criticized Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Arvind Sawant following legal proceedings in the Supreme Court regarding the party's election symbol. Sawant suggested that if the Shiv Sena (UBT) faction does not receive the bow and arrow symbol, the symbol should be frozen or seized.

Desai responded by stating that such a demand is an insult to the ideology of Balasaheb Thackeray, noting that the bow and arrow is a symbol revered by the party's founder. He emphasized that their faction operates within the constitutional framework and has been granted the name and symbol by the Election Commission.

The legal battle over the party name and the bow and arrow symbol continues between the two factions of Shiv Sena following the party's split.
