Shiv Sena (UBT) warns of economic crisis in India

The Shiv Sena (UBT) has issued a critique of the Indian central government, warning that unaddressed economic grievances could lead to a major crisis. In an editorial published in the party’s mouthpiece, ‘Samaana’, the group drew parallels between the current socio-economic situation in India and the violent mass protests currently occurring in France.

The editorial noted that in France, over 500,000 citizens—including healthcare workers, teachers, and firefighters—have protested across more than 170 cities due to rising energy prices, public sector mismanagement, and proposed budget cuts.

Comparing this to India, the party argued that while Indian unrest has not yet reached the streets in the same manner, citizens are facing severe struggles with inflation in essential commodities such as medicines, vegetables, and pulses. The party also highlighted concerns regarding low wages, lack of healthcare, and job insecurity for millions of workers in industrial hubs like Noida and Manesar.
