Shiv Sena Uddhav MP meets Union Minister Jadhav amid Operation Tiger speculation

Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) MP Sanjay Deshmukh travelled to New Delhi on Monday to meet Union Minister for AYUSH Pratap Rava Jadhav. Sources said the meeting was presented as a private matter, but it has intensified speculation about a planned “Operation Tiger” aimed at shifting several Uddhav‑led MPs to the rival Shinde‑led Shiv Sena.

The meeting followed a gathering of Uddhav Thackeray’s MPs at his Mumbai residence, Matoshri, on Sunday. Thackeray called the session to discuss parliamentary business, organisational issues and upcoming election strategy, as rumours grew that some MPs might change allegiance. While some party members described the Matoshri meeting as routine, others warned that Operation Tiger was “close to completion” and could be executed swiftly if the Shinde faction chose to act.

Both events are being watched closely as they could affect the balance of power within the coalition partner of the ruling party in Maharashtra.
