Shizumi Ishikawa releases first photobook ‘MONOLOGUE’

Actor Shizumi Ishikawa held a press conference and launch event on September 5, 2026, to celebrate the release of her first photobook, titled ‘MONOLOGUE’, published by Tokyo News Service.

Ishikawa, known for her role as Keigo Atobe in the ‘The Prince of Tennis Musical’ 4th Season, described the book as a ‘self-introduction’ that incorporates elements of film and theater to showcase her multifaceted personality. The collection captures her transition from her teens into her twenties.

A highlight of the shoot included a session at Kujukuri Beach during the early morning hours. Ishikawa noted that the resulting images of the sunrise were captured almost without processing, preserving the vivid red sky she witnessed at 4:00 AM.

Reflecting on the project, Ishikawa gave herself a score of 100 for how well the book expresses her identity. She expressed gratitude to the publishers and shared her future ambitions, including a desire to pursue straight plays as she enters a new decade of her life.
