Zubin Potok remains discovered during Kosovo war crimes investigation

In Kosovo, the Special Prosecution Office and police have confirmed the discovery of human remains at a third location in Zubin Potok. These findings are part of ongoing investigations into war crimes committed during the 1998–1999 conflict. The excavations aim to identify victims, potentially including 23 Albanian civilians abducted from Mitrovica in 1999. Authorities have arrested three individuals in connection with the case, including one suspected of being an active member of the Yugoslav army.

Separately, Kosovo police reported several incidents involving weapons and theft. In Pejë, a suspect was arrested for a major home robbery that occurred in December 2025 involving significant amounts of cash and gold. In Ferizaj, police successfully intervened in a crisis at Liria Park, where a 31-year-old man was prevented from committing suicide after he was found with a firearm.
