Shoalhaven community celebrates 50 years of Probus

Approximately 100 members from the Shoalhaven region gathered at the North Nowra Community Centre on Wednesday, August 19, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Probus in Australia and New Zealand.

Organized by Probus Nowra South alongside its annual friendship day, the event included a trivia competition, raffle, and a presentation by Evan Penn of On Course Travel. Members from various clubs, including Nowra, Jervis Bay, Mollymook Beach, Shoalhaven, and St Georges Basin, attended the milestone celebration. Reg Walton and Marie Whelan participated in the ceremony by cutting a large birthday cake.

Probus is an organization dedicated to providing friendship, purpose, and a sense of belonging for active retirees through various activities, trips, tours, and educational speakers.
