Shoalhaven Hospital welcomes father and daughter medical team

Drs Tony and Lily Fitzpatrick are currently working together at the revamped Shoalhaven Hospital. Dr Tony Fitzpatrick, a senior visiting medical officer anaesthetist who has served the area since 1995, is joined by his daughter, Dr Lily Fitzpatrick, who is serving a six-month term as an advanced trainee registrar.

While Dr Tony Fitzpatrick specializes in anaesthetics, Dr Lily Fitzpatrick intends to pursue a specialty in gastroenterology. Dr Tony Fitzpatrick noted the significant evolution of the facility since he began his career, describing the transition from a small village hospital to a modern institution that now supports hundreds of junior staff, nursing students, and medical students.
