Shoalhaven Mayor Patricia White takes leave due to health diagnosis
Shoalhaven Mayor Patricia White is taking a leave of absence from her official duties following a recent, serious health diagnosis. Council Chief Executive Andrew Constance announced the decision, stating that the wellbeing of the Mayor is the primary concern for the council and staff.
During her absence, Deputy Mayor Peter Wilkins will step in to handle official mayoral duties. This includes chairing the finance and infrastructure review panel meeting on August 11 and the upcoming council meeting on August 25. The council has requested that the community and media respect the privacy of Mayor White and her family to allow her to focus on her recovery.
