Shoei introduces smart helmet with integrated Head-Up Display

Shoei, in partnership with optical technology specialist EyeLights, has introduced the Shoei GT-Air 3 Smart, a mass-produced smart helmet featuring an integrated Head-Up Display (HUD). The system is built into the retractable QSV-2 sun visor and utilizes a high-definition Nano OLED matrix with brightness levels up to 5,000 nits to ensure visibility in direct sunlight.

The technology aims to improve rider safety by projecting navigation and vehicle data directly into the driver’s natural field of vision. The system creates a floating image calibrated to a focal distance of approximately three meters, allowing motorcyclists to access essential information without taking their eyes off the road or relying on external GPS mounts.
